Scrabble, anyone?

Stopped at Lucky Lab on my ride home from a build session at FreeGeek one day to see a table full of people playing Scrabble on one of the fancy boards with the rotating base. I thought it looked like a blast, but not having a board of my own was an obstacle.

Found a scrabble_1.8-1_all.deb package containing a Brian White perl script that made a great solo version of the game and was inspired to expand the game play options while learning Python.

You'll have to be familiar with a command line and have python running on your system to use this. Maybe I'll learn more about building GUIs to give it a friendly face. Maybe I'll keep it in the terminal and learn ncurses for kicks first...?

This first rough version doesn't have the Scrabblebot implemented, or a graceful exit at the end of gameplay yet, so you'll have to convince a friend to play along until the next release is ready. Download and chmod +x it, of course. ;-)
